ABOUT THE ORIGINAL STYLE
The Kölsch is one of the most particular beers in Germany and one of the very last high fermentation beers, its production takes place in Köln and is regulated by the Kölsch Convention. It is a Hell low malt beer, with a creamy foam, but the high fermentation yeast gives it a singular, almost fruity flavor, balanced by a moderate dry sensation. This makes it a smooth, light, refreshing and satisfying beer, with a full round body, but easy to drink at the same time. It is traditionally served in the so called “Kölschglas”, a long and thin glass filling 20 cl, served on trays with holes to put the glasses in.
